The types

Six ways to pay less in Dubai

You can often stack a couple of these — we work out the best combination for you.

🎯 Merit scholarships

Based on your grades — typically 10–50% off tuition. The single biggest lever, and available at almost every university.

⏰ Early-bird discounts

Apply and confirm early and some universities knock a fixed amount or percentage off. Deadlines matter — this is free money for being organised.

🤝 Need-based grants

Some universities offer bursaries for students who show financial need on top of a merit award. Common at Amity and a few others.

👨‍👩‍👧 Sibling & alumni

Discounts if a sibling studies at the same university or a parent is an alumnus. Easy to miss if you don't ask.

🏅 Sports & talent

A handful of universities reward strong athletes or specific talents with fee reductions.

📚 Subject-specific

Certain programmes (engineering, STEM) or intakes carry their own scholarships. We check the ones tied to your course.

Win it, don't just apply

How to actually secure a scholarship

1

Apply early

Merit and early-bird awards are limited and first-come. The earlier your complete application lands, the more is on the table.

2

Target the right university

The same grades win a bigger award at some universities than others. We aim you where your profile is most valued.

3

Get documents attestation-ready

A scholarship offer can lapse if your certificates aren't attested in time. We line the paperwork up in parallel.

4

Skip IELTS the smart way

Most merit awards need grades, not IELTS. An MOI letter or internal test keeps you eligible — see our no-IELTS guide.

Scholarship FAQs

Are Dubai scholarships real, or just a marketing discount?
Both exist. Genuine merit scholarships meaningfully reduce your tuition based on grades. Some "scholarships" are really standard fee discounts. We tell you which is which so you compare the true net cost, not a headline percentage.
Do scholarships cover living costs or the visa?
Usually no — most awards apply to tuition only. Living costs, insurance and the student visa (~AED 3,000–7,000) are separate. Use our cost calculator to see your all-in figure after the scholarship.
What grades do I need for a 50% scholarship?
It varies by university and intake — top awards go to strong academic profiles, but mid-range grades often still earn 10–30%. Send us your results and we'll tell you realistically what you can expect.
Can I get a scholarship without IELTS?
Usually yes — merit awards are based on grades, and most universities accept an MOI letter or internal English test instead of IELTS. A few scholarships may ask for an IELTS band; we flag those.
Does it cost me anything to apply through you?
No — our scholarship matching and application guidance is free for you. Universities pay us when you enrol, so our incentive is to get you the best award at the right university.
