🎓 English course + student visa

Study English in Dubai — from 6 months, with a student visa.

You don't need a full degree budget to live and study in Dubai. Accredited colleges run English-language courses from 6 months that come with a student visa — from about USD 6,500 (~AED 24,000). It's the affordable way in, and a pathway to a diploma or degree later. Our guidance is free.

Why this route

The affordable way to study and live in Dubai

1

A fraction of degree tuition

A university degree in Dubai costs AED 35,000–90,000 a year. A longer English course starts at about USD 6,500 (~AED 24,000) — so you can start now and upgrade later.

2

A real student visa

Accredited colleges sponsor a genuine UAE student residence visa for full-time English courses. You live in Dubai legally, open a bank account and settle in — not a tourist visa run.

3

A pathway, not a dead end

Improve your English to the level universities require, then progress to a diploma or a full degree — often at the same institution, without leaving the country.

English course + visa FAQs

Can I really get a student visa just for an English course?
Yes. Accredited Dubai colleges and language institutes can sponsor a UAE student residence visa for full-time English-language courses, normally from 6 months. It's a genuine residence visa — not a tourist visa.
How much does it cost in total?
The course itself starts at about USD 6,500 (~AED 24,000) for a longer, visa-eligible programme. On top you budget for the visa and Emirates ID, health insurance and living. We give you the full, all-in figure for your chosen college.
Can I work while studying an English course?
Part-time work rules depend on your visa type and the institution. We'll tell you what's allowed for your specific college and course before you commit, so you plan realistically.
Can I move on to a degree afterwards?
Yes — that's the point. Once your English reaches the required level you can progress to a foundation, diploma or bachelor's degree, often at the same institution and without leaving the UAE.
Do I need IELTS to start?
No. English courses are for students still building their English, so no IELTS is needed to enrol — you're placed at your level after a short assessment. If your goal is a degree, we can also plan the IELTS or the internal test later. See our no-IELTS guide.
